Meet MABEL - the Running Robot. She is able to run an astonishing 6.8mph - which is a world record for a two-legged machine. Built in 2008, MABEL has been 'training' for the last few years. She was funded by the National Science Foundation and the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.

If you find this video... well... Disturbing.. like myself... don't worry, you are not on your own. One Youtube user quipped that it is an 'early Skynet video', referring to the computer system, in the Terminator movies, controlling robots to terrorise the human race in the future. And he has a point. Running robots today, what tomorrow?

The Nokia Morph is a concept demonstrating some possibilities that nanotechnologies might enable in future communication devices. Morph can sense its environment, is energy harvesting and self cleaning.

That looks pretty cool, i just hope our generation is still on this planet when that comes out. IF... that comes out. Some of the functions seen in the video look impossible... !


Even if this finally comes out, i don't think it will be any cheaper than... oh, i don't know... let's say £20,000? But as you can see from the video it will probably be worth the money :)

The manufacturer believes that some of the device's imagined features could appear in high-end devices by 2015. However, i really do doubt that we humans can make something as complex as that... It seems impossible... Doesn't it? The amount of technology that has to go in one of those... I'm not so sure.
