What is the first thing that comes to mind when you hear "Microsoft"? Word? Windows? XP? Vista? Computer? Office
What about Tables?
Microsoft have been making windows for years but recently they have started to make tables too. Windows and tables. (Can't wait for the chairs... haha.. yeah, forget it.)
Right, Microsoft have designed a computer table called Microsoft Surface.
I wouldn't mind one of those... One day.
Microsoft Surface (codename Milan) is a surface computing platform that responds to natural hand gestures and real world objects.
Surface has been optimized to respond to 52 touches at a time. That is a lot of fingers. Surface has a 30-inch (76 cm) display in a table-like form factor, its 22 inches (56 cm) high, and 42 inches (107 cm) wide, and 21 inches (53 cm) deep. A custom version of Windows Vista is used to run the software platform and has wired Ethernet 10/100, wireless 802.11 b/g, and Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity.
Prices start at $7,600 (USD). While that may seem like a lot, the previous generation Surface started at $11,000, so the prices have definitely gone down since the first Microsoft SurfaceLet's wait and see if this table catches on.
